I’m Jim Russell. My day job is something you’ve never heard of…healthcare value analysis. I’ve been a Registered Nurse since the 80’s. I’ve spent about a decade in critical care, a decade in psychiatry, and since 2008 I’ve been in value analysis. In brief, my department looks at the “stuff” our hospital buys from a clinical eye. So, it’s not just about getting the best price for something…it’s also about whether it’s safe for our patients and staff. It’s the coolest job ever!

Here’s my little woodshop, just south of Houston, Tx! Be nice…I’m proud of it. Like many, I learned woodworking in High School shop class. I haven’t done much since then. 40 years later, I’m in a position where I can build the woodshop I want (slowly), and I can try new things, practice and improve (hopefully).
